Somehow I find this more "disturbing" (not really, but I lack the right word - perhaps "impressive" would be a better choice) than all the other doll pics.
I find the doll pics generally disturbing... this is something which either does or did mean so much to someone and yet you cast it in a rather cynical light. It definitely gets the message across though and having said that for me is as important if not more, than the actual photograph. That is not to say that they are not good, because I think they are, but you must be careful Vita... with all these pictures people start to piece together your personality :::)))) We are possibly figuring you out! Hmmmmm!
Vita, sorry I didnt mean offence... I like your photographs and merely told you how they make me feel and how I find them, and why... I never for one minute thought you were taking them for effect rather how they came across to me.
I enjoy your work. More so than many others I see currently. I like the way that there is a message, that they are not merely pretty pictures and the message...
I do however still think that what we photograph and how we take pictures do tell something of our personality... dont you agree?
@ Sean: Yes, I agree with you. Of course there is parts of the photographer in the photos. At least the photographers that have the guts to use their minds ;)
And the fact that you have the guts to use your mind is probably why your photographs are different and so enjoyable. Fact is that often someone may not like what they see, or due to their own issues or even predjudices see something you did not intend in a photograph, but at least your photograph is making them think and feel. :) Just for that you have achieved something which many never do and never will.
"Guts" are something you've never been short of Anna. This one, like all your doll work challenges people, makes them uncomfortable sometimes, but forces them to come face to face with things they might not want to. For that alone, as Sean says, you've accomplished much.
That doll face is so vulnerable, and the child it represents seems so alone. This is challenging, and I like it. I have a soft spot for dolls and find photographing them always brings something out of me.

Very powerful image indeed.
@ Sean: This shot is NOT meant to be CYNICAL at all.
None of my dollparts work are.
Every doll MEANS something.
I don't just snap these to disturbe people.
They are important.
I guess the right title of this work should be:
MAKE ME COME UNDONE.
Hi Anna
This shot exudes power off ;)
Puurfect....
Happy WW!!
Anya :)

I guess the child has outgrown his/her fascination for dolls.
Great shot!
Oh no, that's what I call coming undone literally.
I find the doll creepy somehow...
Happy WW!

I like this a lot, it makes the viewer think not say "oh how nice!" it is dark and moody and wonderful!
